I am a graduate student at Tokyo Zokei University. My major is sculpture, and I would like to do mainly woodcarving. When I was in China, I was originally very fond of the work of a sculptor named Funakoshi Katsura, and I would like to become a student of the university which he was teaching, so I came to Japan. The work I want to create, following on from my graduation project, is a three-dimensional expression of my own feelings. In the process of this creation, I am seeking to better integrate the emotional memories that arise from environmental changes into artistic creation.
I don’t have a very specific idea about the future yet, but I want to be a writer. I’ll do my best to make my dream come true.
I was just at the JLPT N3 level when I enrolled at TCJ, but I was able to pass N1 by the time I took EJU. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the teachers who are in the TCJ. To all of you who will be entering this school, please do your best to make your dream come true.
